Fire destroyed a pole shed Saturday in the town of Irving.

Black River Falls firefighters were summoned to N4846 Bible Road at 1:41 p.m. and found a 50-by-40-foot shed engulfed in flames. The building and its contents were destroyed. Two vehicles parked next to the building were damaged from the heat. The siding of the nearby home and another out building was also damaged from the heat.

Black River Falls firefighters received help from fire departments in Melrose, Taylor and Hixton, which supplied manpower as well as water tenders.

The structure and its contents are a total loss. Two vehicles parked next to the building were damaged from the heat. The siding of the nearby home and another out building was also damaged from the heat.

The departments were on scene for 2.5 hours and used 19,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire.
