Household and agricultural hazardous waste will be accepted as part of the 2018 Jackson County Clean Sweep program Friday and Saturday.

The Clean Sweep program is held every other year with support from grant money to help Jackson County residents safely dispose of chemicals and other hazardous waste.

The event will be 8 a.m. until noon Friday and Saturday at the Jackson County Highway Department, 23 Harrison Street in Black River Falls.

Only waste from household users and farms will be accepted at the 2018 Clean Sweep. There is no charge for the first 200 pounds of eligible waste. However, participants are required to pre-register their material. All materials must be in their original containers and securely packaged.
