The Friends of the Black River Falls Public Library will celebrate a national week dedicated to library support groups as it also marks its second anniversary.

The Friends of BRF Public Library plans to celebrate National Friends of Libraries Week Oct. 15-21 with a special bookmark at the library. The local Friends group was formally launched two years ago and will also hold its Annual Meeting at the library on Oct. 25 at 5 p.m. where it will look to welcome new members.

“It’s a very special month for our Friends group and Friends groups across the country,” said Linda Heller, current chair of Friends of BRF Public Library. “It’s an exciting opportunity to highlight our mission and our passion for supporting the library.
