Jackson County, WI—The Jackson County Public Health Department has confirmed its first case of COVID-19.

The individual is a female under 50 years of age and is isolated at home and doing well. Jackson County Public Health is currently investigating.

Jackson County Public Health is continuing to ask residents to follow Governor Evers’ Safer At Home Order and to stay home as much as possible. If you need to leave your home
people can help protect themselves from getting any respiratory illness by:
• Washing hands often with soap and warm water.
• Covering mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing.
• Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
• Staying home from work when sick.
• If children are sick, keeping them home from school or daycare.
• Avoiding those who may be sick whenever possible.
• Contacting a health care provider with any questions.
