I have lived in Jackson County most of my life. I grew up in town in Black River Falls and spent my summers at Hatfield. My dream was to live permanently in Hatfield and I did achieve that building a new home near what is now Emerald Lake. My husband, Roger, and I have always loved the country and decided to try raising veal calves and some beef cattle. I did that for over 8 years in addition to working full time. We then decided to build a log cabin on a lake and live there. We really missed this area, our family and friends and moved back here after two years.
