MADISON – A GOP state senator is urging the FBI to tell him when a long-running investigation will be finished, arguing legislators need to know more before they can decide whether to make changes at Wisconsin’s juvenile prison.

But the FBI will keep its plans to itself, said the prosecutor heading the probe of Lincoln Hills School for Boys and Copper Lake School for Girls.

“That is very disappointing that they would take that type of attitude,” said Sen. Van Wanggaard (R-Racine).

In a letter last week, Wanggaard asked the FBI to tell him how much longer the 2-year-old investigation would take.
