Michael J. Walske, 63, of rural Arcadia, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at his home.


Michael was born October 26, 1952 in Arcadia to Lambert and Lucille (Schank) Walske.
He married Diane Filla April 19, 1980 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence.
The couple farmed in Arcadia Township. Mike loved his wife, family, the farm and life.
He is survived by his wife, Diane of Arcadia; three children, Greg (Liz George) Walske, Beth (Jake) Wadewitz and Brian (Amber) Walske all of rural Arcadia; six grandchildren, Brayden, Brianna, Kanden, Brooklyn, Aubrey and Aliyah; two brothers, Charles (Suzanne) Walske of Osseo and Robert (Doris) Walske of Whitehall; three sisters, Jane Addamo-Reinke of Madison, Ruth (Earl) Pedretti of Onalaska and Lois (David) Ekern of Galesville; mother-in-law, Doris Filla of rural Arcadia; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Edmund Filla, nephew, Ron Walske; brothers-in-law, Gus Addamo and Gordon Reinke.

Helen Mary Donskey, 98, of Sparta, WI, passed away, Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Mayo Clinic Healthcare System Franciscan Skemp, La Crosse, WI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 11, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Sparta, WI. Father Gene Trainer will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Summit Ridge, WI. Family and friends are invited for visitation Sunday, April 10, 2016, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Torkelson Page-Smith Funeral Home, Sparta. Visitation will also be held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be given in Helen's memory to the St. Patrick Catholic Church or St. Patrick's School. Tania N. Hand, age 24, of Stevens Point, Wisconsin and formerly of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016.

Traditional Ho-Chunk services will be held Sunday, April 10, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at the Blue Wing Community Center in Tomah. Richard Mann will officiate. Burial will follow in the Blue Wing Cemetery, Tomah, WI. Family and friends are invited for visitation Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Blue Wing Community Center. Lawrence W. Isensee, 95, of Cataract, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016, at the Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta.


A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home, Sparta, with Rev. Mark Wessel officiating. Burial will be in Cataract Cemetery, Cataract.

Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, from 12 noon until the time of service.

Florence Mae Boland, age 90, of Arcadia, found eternal peace on Sunday April 10, 2016, at the WI Veterans Home in Chippewa Falls, WI.

She was the only child of William J. Tierney and Ella (Ramelow) Tierney and grew up on the Tierney homestead in Irish Valley, Waumandee, Wisconsin.
She attended a one room school in Lower Irish Valley and graduated from St. Boniface Catholic School and Arcadia High School. As a young woman she worked for the U.S. Treasury Department in Chicago IL.
Florence married William T. Boland Sr. at St. Boniface Catholic Church on May 6, 1946, and together they farmed on the Tierney Homestead and were parents to nine children: Nancy (Donald) Bernstein of Franklin, WI, William (Pam) Boland Jr. of Arcadia, Terry (Laurie) Boland of Merillan, WI, James Boland of Independence, John Boland of Arcadia, Timothy (Susan) Boland of Madison, Cynthia (Michael) Hartman of Mendota, IL and the late Patrick and Dean Boland.
