Wayne P. Skroch Sr., 63, of Independence, died Friday, December 26, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Wayne was born June 30, 1951 in Whitehall to Cyril and Gertrude (Suchla) Skroch. He married Kathryn Suchla October 20, 1973 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence.
Wayne worked at Uniroyal, was an auctioneer and a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, tractors, horse pulling and card playing. He was currently serving on the Independence City Council and the Trempealeau County Board.
He served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Kathryn; three sons, Wayne Jr. of Chippewa Falls and Rory and Derek, both at home; two grandchildren, Ashley and Jackson; three sisters, Yvonne Shepherd, Sonja (Richard) George and Joan Proch and two brothers, Giles (Jean) Skroch and Pat Skroch.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Barbara Parpart and Bonnie Skroch.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, followed by military rites conducted by Sura-Wiersgalla American Legion Post 186. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary, at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Roger D. Lewison, 84 of Sparta, died Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Tomah.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015, 2:00 P.M. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau Street, Tomah. Reverend William McBride will officiate. Burial will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery with military honors in Spooner, WI at a later date. Brenda L. Moore, age 50, of Merrillan, Wisconsin died on December 24, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, in the town of Alma, Jackson County.
Brenda was born on August 18, 1964 at the Lemoore Navy Base in California to Larry and Deloris (Thill) Beck.
Brenda lived in California, Seattle, Washington and then moved to Wisconsin.
Brenda married James Moore on December 29, 2013 at the Wrightsville Chapel.
Brenda worked for Gunderson Lutheran in LaCrosse, WI in the maintenance department for thirteen years. She was currently employed for Flying J Travel Plaza in Black River Falls, WI, also working in the maintenance department.
Brenda loved animals, especially cats and dogs and was known to take in strays. She also enjoyed raising her chickens. Brenda enjoyed reading along with playing on her I Pad.
Brenda is survived by her husband; James Moore of Merrillan, WI, one son, Timmy Vaughn, Washington, two daughters; Jessica Beck, and Joanna Hickey, both of LaCrosse, WI, parents; Larry and Deloris Beck of LaCrosse, WI, one brother; Ron Beck of Oklahoma, two sisters; Linda Beck of Washington, Donna Osborne, Washington, mother-in-law; Karen Moore of Merrillan, one stepson; Dustin Moore, four stepdaughters; Kimberly Moore, Megan Morgan, Cass Johnson and Jessica Moore, five grandchildren; Madison, Michael, Kylin, Meguel, and Jaxtyn, and seven step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by, one sister; Michelle “Mickey” Willingham, her paternal and maternal grandparents, and her father-in-law; Larry Moore.
Memorial Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015 from the Wrightsville Chapel on Hwy 12, six miles North of Black River Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the Wrightsville Chapel on Friday from noon until the time of services.
