Eric C. Romanski age 37, of Melrose, WI died unexpectedly, at his home in the Town of Melrose on Thursday, March 12, 2015.    A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 A.M. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Black River Falls.  Burial will follow in the Melrose Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may call at the Buswell Funeral (715-284-2231) 106 So. 2nd St. on Monday from 4 until 6 P.M. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of services.
Irene R. Crivits, age 91, of Blair, died on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the Grand View Care Center in Blair. Arrangements are pending with the Jack Funeral Home in Blair.
L. Ann Matson, age 102, of Blair, died on Thursday, March 12, 2015 in the Grand View Care Center in Blair. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Blair Lutheran Church West with burial in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery both in Blair. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
     Mary Ann Haines passed away at Tri-County Memorial Hospital in Whitehall, WI on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at the age of 85.       Mary was born June 2, 1929, one of eight children born to Edward and Lina (Ehlenz) Bower in Waseca, MN. Mary, being one of the oldest children, helped raise her siblings when her parents died a few years apart at a young age.         Mary graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Waseca and went on to earn her nursing degree from Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea in 1950.  After school she worked in California for one year after which she returned to Waseca to work in the local hospital.  It was here that she met Jack Haines. They were married on June 13, 1953, in Waseca.  She continued her nursing career working at various hospitals.  Before she retired she worked for Tri-County Mental Health and was a staunch advocate for mental health services in Trempealeau County.       Mary enjoyed playing bridge and played with a local bridge club for many years.  She especially enjoyed golfing in the women's golf league and at one time served on the board of the Arcadia Country Club.  She and Jack spent many winters in Arizona golfing and enjoying the sun.  Spring often found Mary tending her roses and planting flowers on her deck. At times she also assisted with flower planting at the golf course.       Mary frequently returned back to Waseca to be with her sisters, this always was a very special time. She especially looked forward to the annual July 4th gathering.  She so much loved her children and grandchildren.      Mary is lovingly remembered by her husband: Jack Haines of Arcadia; children: Jim (Bea) Haines of Pepin, WI , Andy ( Michelle) Haines of North Creek, WI., Barb ( Chris Melkovitz ) Haines  of Wauwatosa, WI and John Haines of  Hudson, WI. She has nine grandchildren: Jessica (Lewis) Casselius, Rachel (Pete) Riegraf, Emily, Jack and Mary Melkovitz, Kyle and Nate Haines and Alexa and Madyson Haines. One great grandchild: Brayden Casselius.       She is survived by 5 sisters: Bonnie Kastner, Jane Sybilrud, Helen Berry, Barb Kritzer and Gloria McCloon.  She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jim Bower and Tom Bower.         Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday March 14, 2015, at Holy Family Parish with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 until noon at the church. Darren P. Jahr, 39 of Blair, died tragically in a motor vehicle accident on March 8, 2015.     Visitation will be held Friday, March 13th from 5pm-9pm at the Blair-Taylor School and again Saturday, March 14 from 11am-1pm at the Blair-Taylor School.  The funeral will be held at 1pm on Saturday March 14 at the Blair-Taylor School.     Jeffrey L. Bronner, age 71, of Black River Falls and formerly of West Bend, WI, Wautoma, Wild Rose, and Berlin, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in Black River Memorial Hospital.  Jeffrey had resided at the Country Terrace the last few years.     He was born in Palisade, MN in Aitkin County to Peter and Viola (Ellis) Breyer. He was adopted later in life by Cornelius and Harriett Bronner.    He was raised in Palisade and then moved to West Bend.    Jeff was a carnival worker most of his life. He also did some factory work.    He loved the carnival because he enjoyed being outside, and being-on-the-move.  He also enjoyed picking up scrap metal.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan.    He is survived by a step daughter, 2-brothers, James H. (Thelma) Bronner, Sr., Tomah, WI, and David (Janet) Bronner, West Bend, WI, one sister, Linda (Ellis) Tautfist, Oregon, and nieces and nephews.    Jeff was preceded in death by his biological parents, Peter and Viola Breyer, his adopted parents, Cornelius and Harriet Bronner, and one brother, Robert Bronner, of St. Paul, MN.    Funeral services for Jeffrey L. Bronner will be at 1 P.M. Friday, March 13, 2015 from Torgerson Funeral Home (715-284-4321) 408 N. Water St.; Black River Falls. Services will be conducted by Pastor Kenneth Jordan and burial will be in the Shamrock Cemetery in the Town of Manchester, Jackson County.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from noon until the time of services.
