7-31-13) Nina Kimpton, age 89, of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at the Serenity House in Tomah.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013, 11:00 a. m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Tomah. Pastor Scott Mann will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Tomah, WI. Family and friends are invited for visitation Friday, August 2, 2013, from 5:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Jeanette Monica Johnson Moe

7/30/13)  Jeanette Monica Johnson Moe, age 78, of Whitehall WI died with her family by her side. On Monday, July 29, 2013 at home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday,  August 3, 2013 in St. John's Catholic Church in Whitehall, WI. Father Woodrow Pace will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 4 till 8 p. m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall, WI. A rosary service to be held at 7:30 p. m. on friday in the funeral home. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at church.

Memorials may be given in Jeanette's name to the American Cancer Society.

Doris L. Lien

7-29-13) Doris L. Lien, age 85, of Black River Falls, WI. and formerly of the Town of Franklin, Jackson County died Monday, July 29, 2013 in the Black River Memorial Hospital. Doris was born at home in the Town of Northfield, Jackson County on November 16, 1927 to Helge and Maymie (Larson) Dokkestul. She was raised in Northfield and graduated from Whitehall High School in 1946.

She married Joseph S. Lien in Northfield on November 16, 1947. The couple lived and farmed on the Lien Homestead in the Town of Franklin, Jackson County. They moved to Black River Falls in 1995. For many years Joe and Doris were custodians at the Upper Beaver Creek Lutheran Church, rural Taylor, WI. before transferring their membership to the Taylor Lutheran Church. Doris enjoyed making lefse, quilting, and sewing. Even though she found out she was allergic to them, she loved cats. She was a member of Sons-of-Norway Fossen Lodge. Surviving are (3) daughters, Connie (Rich) Hansen, Black River Falls, Sharon (Roger) Lokken, DeForest, WI. and Elaine Lien, Sparta, WI. 1) sister, Agnes (Ralph) Johnson, Hixton, WI. 3) brothers, Herbert Dokkestul, Eau Claire, WI. Jerome Dokkestul, Hixton, WI. and Maynard (Loretta) Dokkestul, Barron, WI. 9) grandchildren, and (23) great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, her parents, and (1) daughter, JoAnn Stensven. Funeral services will be at 11 A. M. Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from the Taylor Lutheran Church. Services will be conducted by Pastor Benjamin Ahles-Iverson and burial will be in the Upper Beaver Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, Aug. 5, 2013 from 5 until 7 P. M. at the Buswell Funeral Home (715-284-2231) 106 So. 2nd St. Black River Falls, and at the church on Tuesday from 10 A. M. until the time of services. Memorials may be given to the Black River Memorial Hospice.
