Pearl E. Stevenson, 98, of Minneapolis and formerly of Arcadia died on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Augustana Health Care Center in Minneapolis. Pearl was born on October 29, 1917, in Arcadia to Arthur and Nora (Ziegler) Hare.Pearl married Donald Stevenson on January 25, 1934, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Arcadia. Together Pearl and Don owned Newcomb Valley Bar. They late sold the bar and Don went into the carpentry business. Pearl was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.Pearl is survived by her daughter: Peggy Stevenson of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald on May 13, 1983, and her brother and sister-in-law: Lester and Bertha Hare.Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 2:00 PM at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home with Rev. Jacob H. Kyser, 90, of rural Sparta, passed away Thursday,June 30, 2016 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, WI. Jacob was born at home near Mullen, NE on Feb. 20, 1926 to Thomas C.and Julia (Marsh) Kyser. He attended school at Melrose High School.He married Lucille Hass on August 4, 1948 at St. Paul’s LutheranChurch, Bangor, WI.Jake was a WWII veteran, drove taxi in D.C.-General Eisenhauser wasone of his passengers. He lived 80 years on the family farm, where heraised 8 children with his wife Lucille, as well as livestock andcrops. He enjoyed fishing, word puzzles, hunting, farming, playingcards, 4-wheeling and his family.He worked 20 years at Fort McCoy, retiring in September 1985. He wasa member of Neil S.
