Beverly “Bev” Gnewikow, 83, of Ontario, WI, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at her home near Ontario.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 14, 2014, 3:00 P.M. at Mount Pisgah Wesleyan Church, rural Ontario. Pastor Bob Streeter will officiate. Leo E. Janke, age 93, of Eau Claire, (formerly of Humbird) passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at his home.
Leo was born on March 26, 1921 to the late Ludwig and Annie (Dettinger) Janke in Garden Valley Township in Jackson County, Wisconsin. On June 6, 1946, he was united in marriage to Phyllis A. Lightfoot. Leo was a hard working dairy farmer for many years, a loving husband and respected father.He will be greatly missed.He is survived by his children, Rick (Lou Ann) Janke, Peggy (Orland) Staves, David (Liz) Janke, and Harry (Louise) Janke; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; many other family members and friends.Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, and brother, Richard.The family would like to thank Dr. Jean Anderson, the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice team, especially Judy Lust and Marne Buckley, for their extraordinary, loving care.The family will be celebrating his life on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Oakwood Homes Community Room (3802 Damon Street, Eau Claire).Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church in Alma Center with the Reverend Steve Rutter officiating. Beverly Joy Bruley-Carlson-Sankey, of Black River Falls, passed away peacefully into God's arms on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the Gunderson-Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, WI.
Beverly was born on February 5, 1939 to the late Lawrence "Shorty" and Ethel (Nordahl) Casper in Black River Falls. Beverly Joy was proud of her cooking skills. After graduating from culinary school, she returned to her hometown where she was a cook for many years at the Pineview Nursing Home.
She is survived by her children, Ed "Tiger" (Judy) Bruley of Stone Mt., GA, Peggi Bruley-McRae of Black River Falls, Lori Jayne Carlson of Cedar Rapids, IA; grandchildren, Timmothy, Mathew, Nicole, Kristi Jo, Robert, James and Barb; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Juanita "Petie" Duncan of Hollywood, FL, Judy Jessie of Hixton, WI, Barbara (Bob) Gustafson of Garden, MI; brother, Larry Casper of Hixton, WI.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
