The Lincoln Hornets boys basketball team managed to hold off a second half surge by the New Lisbon Rockets to win 77-60.
The Hornets put up 26 more shots than the Rockets did, ending the night going 46 percent from the floor.
The Rockets were more accurate making 56 percent of their shots.
That volume was provided in part due to Brandon Simmons' team-leading 15 shot attempts on his way to scoring 23 points in the Hornets victory.
Laccen Comstock and Zach Sheffer were the next closest contributors on the Lincoln squad with 12 points a piece.
Grabbing boards was the biggest area of disparity between the teams as the Hornets snagged 32 rebounds to the Rockets 18, mostly being able to catch their own and give themselves multiple chances for points with 19 offensive rebounds.
