Plan Commission Minutes of October 24, 2007 |

The Plan Commission met at City Hall in the City of Black River Falls on October 24, 2007 at 6:30 P.M. Commissioners Johnson, Boisen, and Tamminen were present. Commissioners Evenson, Bjerke and Moe were absent. Mayor Joseph Hunter presided.
1.The notice of public hearing was distributed as the petition for a conditional use permit to allow the operation of a professional office building at 433 Forrest Street in the City as published. Duane Bowen, a nearby property owner, was in attendance to state that the neighborhood had been advised of the request and had no objections.
2.It was moved by Commissioner Tamminen, seconded by Commissioner Boisen to grant Architectural Engineering Consultants a conditional use permit to allow the operation of a professional office building at 433 Forrest Street. Motion carried.
3.The notice of public hearing was distributed as the petition to add rental storage buildings as a conditional use in the R-Duplex zoning district. The area in question is directly north of the Calhoun Building on County Highway A. Chad Mickelson was in attendance to explain his project should the conditional use be added and granted. He had met with the adjoining neighbors to satisfy their concerns about surface water runoff, dust and lighting.
4.It was moved by Commissioner Boisen, seconded by Commissioner Johnson to recommend to the Council to add rental storage units as a conditional use in the R-Duplex zoning district. Motion carried.
5.It was moved by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Tamminen to adjourn. Motion carried.
