The Plan Commission met at City Hall in the City of Black River Falls on April 30, 2008 at 6:30 P.M. Commissioners Johnson, Boisen, Moe and Evenson were present. Commissioners Helland and Tamminen were absent. Mayor Danielson was absent.
1. Commissioner Johnson acted as chairperson in the absence of Mayor Danielson.
2. The notice of public hearing was distributed as the petition for variance in the matter of the Black River Child Care Center, Inc. request for a conditional use permit to allow the operation of a day care center on land they are purchasing directly south of their current property as published.
3. Jane Ellingson, Director of the Black River Child Care Center, advised the Commission that this property was the only possibility they have for future expansion. The State mandates the open area requirements they must have for each child. They currently have no plans for immediate expansion.
4. It was moved by Commissioner Evenson, seconded by Commissioner Moe to grant Black River Child Care Center, Inc. a conditional use permit to operate a day care center on the property as published. Motion carried.
5. It was moved by Commissioner Moe, seconded by Commissioner Boisen to adjourn. Motion carried.
