The special meeting of the Common Council was held at City Hall in the City of Black River Falls on November 16, 2011 at 6:00 P.M. Alderpersons Olson, J. Eddy, Gearing-Lancaster, Chojnacki, Johnson, Herman, R. Eddy and Rahmlow were present. Mayor Danielson presided.

Mayor Danielson opened the public hearing on the proposed 2011 City Budget as published.
There were no citizens in attendance to comment on the budget.

It was moved by Alderperson Johnson, seconded by Alderperson Herman to close the public hearing as above. Motion carried with Alderperson R. Eddy voting no.

It was moved by Alderperson Johnson, seconded by Alderperson Olson to set the City Tax Levy for 2012 at $1,719,579 as published. Motion carried with Alderperson R. Eddy voting no.

The City currently holds an easement on a 15’ strip of land in the Borufka Subdivision between North Water Street and Chestnut Street. According to Street Superintendent Todd Gomer, the easement was for a storm sewer which is no longer in service.

It was moved by Alderperson R. Eddy, seconded by Alderperson Chojnacki to release the easement as above.

The Department Heads presented their monthly reports.

It was moved by Alderperson Rahmlow, seconded by Alderperson R. Eddy to approve the October 2011 vouchers in the amount of $225,419.11. Motion carried.

It was moved by Alderperson Chojnacki, seconded by Alderperson Herman to approve the October 2011 City Treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
