(Tomah, WI)… Today the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled 5-2 that the legislature’s raid of the Injured Patients and Families Compensation Fund (IPFCF) was unconstitutional. State Senate candidate Ed Thompson pointed out that “the raid was supported by incumbent Senator Kathleen Vinehout when she voted for its inclusion in the budget.” The state must now pay back the $200 million plus interest.
